Session styles

'Lead thinkers' will share their insights, ideas and experiences in one or more of the following session styles:

  • Seminar (1 - 1.5 hours)

A seminar will include a formal presentation on a particular topic and include opportunities for delegates to engage in a facilitated discussion about the information and ideas presented.

  • Nano-talks (20 mins)

A nano-talk will provide an opportunity for 'Lead Thinkers' to tell their stories through informal presentations on a mix of topics from the serious to the light-hearted including: innovative projects; examples of best practice; issues of concern; book reviews; stories; philosophical ponderings; rants and raves; or pleas for help. All content must be non-promotional and no media, computers or displays can be used - just storytelling and dialogue. Nano-talk presenters must be prepared to present their story at least three times during the session and allow lots of opportunity for delegate discussion. Clusters of nano-talks will be scheduled in the same space with delegates moving from one talk to another at given times.
